Ishigakijima Car Rental Station

Two routes are available from the airport to major resort hotels and tourist spots: "Airport Route via Nikko Yaeyama and ANA Intercontinental" and "Yonehara Campground Route". It takes 37 minutes from the airport to Ishigaki Port Remote Island Terminal and 45 minutes to Kabira Bay. Enjoy a relaxing island trip by bus. From the bus terminal near the remote island terminal, there are 12 routes that can take you to most of the sightseeing spots in the island.

Value-for-money Free Pass

If you use local buses in Ishigaki Island, "Free Pass" is the best deal by far. There are "1 Day Free Pass (1000 yen)" for unlimited rides on all routes and "Michikusa Free Pass (2000 yen)" for unlimited rides on all routes for 5 days (*excluding regular sightseeing buses). You can purchase them at the bus terminal counter or on board the bus.

How to Ride the Bus

Buses are front-loading and front-dismounting, and you take a numbered ticket and pay the fare when you get off the bus. If you use a sightseeing cab, you can charter it for a day and see the sights of the island.
