Tokyo Disney Resort is very crowded with restaurants What to do if the restaurants are too crowded and there are no restaurants available
Options include trying to miss peak meal times, moving meal times forward, or going to the commercial facility "Ikspiari" next door.
There are many things to look forward to at Tokyo Disney Resort, including attractions, shows, and parades, but one of the most indispensable is dining.
If you are going to spend a whole day at the parks, you will need at least two meals for lunch and dinner.
However, all Disney Resorts are always crowded at meal times, and it is not unusual for the wait time at popular restaurants to exceed one hour.
If you are hungry and have children with you, the wait can seem very tough.
In such a situation, it is easy to think of shifting the peak dining time and coming back later, but delaying the time will not change the situation much.
The peak crowds at restaurants in the Disney Resort start around 12:00 p.m. for lunch time and around 6:00 p.m. for dinner time.
Even if you move back these peak hours, the situation will hardly change because of the large number of guests who had been waiting in line until then. Also, if you move your meal time back, you will be hungry, which can be stressful.
Therefore, we recommend that you move your meal time to a time before the crowds.
If you go to a restaurant by 11:00 a.m. at the latest, like you would eat around 10:00 a.m. for lunch, you will not have to wait in line as long as you would during peak hours.
If you enter a restaurant around 4:30 p.m. in the evening, you can dine at a more leisurely pace than during the peak hours.
At Tokyo Disney Resort, you are not allowed to bring in food such as boxed lunches. However, you are allowed to leave the park once and re-enter after finishing your meal.
Another option for dining is to return to the park after a leisurely meal at a restaurant in Ikspiari, a shopping mall directly connected to Maihama Station.
If you would like to eat more easily, there is a 24-hour convenience store in the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel, right in front of Disneyland. One option is to buy onigiri (rice balls) or sandwiches at the convenience store and eat them outside the park.
