This is Real Mario World! Universal Studios Japan Super Nintendo World

 A new area "Super Nintendo World" that reproduces the world of Nintendo games opened at Universal Studios Japan on March 18, 2021.

Initially, it was supposed to be grand opening on February 4th (Thursday), but due to the announcement of the "emergency declaration"due to Covid-19 to Osaka Prefecture, the opening date has been postponed until after the "emergency declaration" is lifted.

This marks the beginning of a memorable anniversary year for Universal Studios Japan, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year.

There are activities such as "Mario Kart", ride attractions of popular character Yoshi, Kuppa's Castle, Peach Castle, restaurants, shops, etc. that you can experience the world of the game life-size. As the catch copy of "#WE ARE MARIO !", Children and adults will surely be excited about the "Real Mario Experience".

* To enter "Super Nintendo World", you need an "Area Admission Guarantee Ticket / Area Admission Numbered Ticket".

If you have not purchased in advance, please obtain an "Area Admission Ticket" from the Universal Studios Japan official app at the park on the day of the event.

It is expected to be crowded for a while after opening, so in principle one of the following tickets is required.

Area admission guarantee ticket (charged)

Area admission numbered ticket (free)

Area admission promise ticket" can be arranged before coming to the venue.However, there is a charge.

On the other hand, the "Area Admission Numbered Ticket" is a free ticket that can be obtained after visiting the park on the day of the event.

(Depending on the congestion situation, you may be able to enter without the "Area Admission Guarantee Ticket / Area Admission Numbered Ticket".)

"Super Nintendo World" is located between "Waterworld" and "The Wizarding World of Harry Potter".

After passing through Peach Castle, the world of Mario is in front of you !!

A 360-degree view of Mario's world as it is! !! You can even remember the illusion that you've got into the game.

There are "Hatena blocks" that you can actually hit here and there!

There are "hatena blocks" everywhere in the area, and you can actually hit them. When you hit with a power-up band, that coin sound will be heard and you will get coins. You can check the number of coins earned in the app.

The number of coins earned by guests in the park that day is ranked and can be confirmed on the app or the display installed in the area. (You can check the real-time ranking with the app even when you are not in the park.)

Not only Hatena blocks, but there are also things that look like brick blocks and can actually be hit, so try hitting them while adventuring throughout the area!

You can also get Mario character stamps by achieving various conditions. There are 170 types of stamps in all, and you can get coins according to the stamps you get.

The majestic Kuppa's Castle! Deep inside that is the ride attraction of "Mario Kart"

There are two ride attractions in "Super Nintendo World".

First of all, the ride attraction "Mario Kart ~ Kuppa's Challenge ~" with the theme of the popular series "Mario Kart" which sold more than 150 million copies. It is located deep inside Kuppa's Castle.

For "Mario Kart ~ Kuppa's Challenge ~", you can actually get on the Mario Kart, put on the headset, and grab the steering wheel to start the race! An incandescent race will be held in which Mario and Luigi's karts pass right beside the drift and spin.

During the race, you can earn coins by turning the steering wheel in the direction of the arrow and throwing the shell to hit the enemy. It is quite difficult to instantly identify the enemy and throw the shell while turning the steering wheel. You might accidentally hit Mario or Princess Peach ... Finally, the number of coins earned and the ranking are displayed, further arousing competitiveness.

Ride attraction "Yoshi's Adventure" that both small children and adults can enjoy

Another ride attraction is "Yoshi's Adventure". The story of riding on Yoshi's back and following Captain Kinopio on a treasure hunting journey.

If you find an egg lurking here and there, push the button at hand that is the same color as the egg! If you can find three, you can get a golden egg.

Riding on Yoshi's slow-moving back, you'll be amazed at the spectacular view of the Mushroom Kingdom, meet those cute kids, and have fun with the whole family, from small children to adults.
