Construction of Kansai Airport Bridge is progressing

On February 12, 2019, a viaduct was put on by a salvage ship.

On September 4th, 2018, on the bridge of Kansai Airport, where the tanker collided with the strong winds of Typhoon, the West Japan Expressway began working to build two girder (a total of 187 meters). Scheduled to be completed at dawn. The road of the contact Bridge aims at full recovery before Golden Week in Japan.
On the 12th morning, one of the two girder (89, 8-meter, 790-ton) ships closer to the airport island, anchored at about 50 meters south of the contact bridge. It was lifted up to about 15 meters high by a large crane ship in daytime. After the end of the railway service through the contact bridge, it was erection on the 13th. Another one (97, 8 meters, 858 tons) was also to be done by dawn on the 14th.
By this construction, it will be able to do the face-to-faces which had not been done up to now. Although the vehicle is currently restricted, it is expected that the traffic will be allowed to increase in the face of the road.
It is good news for those who refrained from coming to the airport by car.
The work by the salvage ship can be seen from the train.

When I passed by train again on February 19, 2019, it took a bridge, and the worker was working.
Because the bridge took, it is expected to be a little more until the end of construction.
