Construction of Kansai Airport Bridge is progressing

Scheduled to be completed at dawn. The road of the contact Bridge aims at full recovery before Golden Week in Japan.On the 12th morning, one of the two girder (89, 8-meter, 790-ton) ships closer to the airport island, anchored at about 50 meters south of the contact bridge. It was lifted up to about 15 meters high by a large crane ship in daytime. After the end of the railway service through the contact bridge, it was erection on the 13th. Another one (97, 8 meters, 858 tons) was also to be done by dawn on the 14th.
By this construction, it will be able to do the face-to-faces which had not been done up to now. Although the vehicle is currently restricted, it is expected that the traffic will be allowed to increase in the face of the road.
