The airport of hub of Jet star airline is Kansai International Airport if it is Kansai and Narita Airport in Chiba if it is Tokyo.

From Kansai Airport it is possible to travel to all four airports in Narita, Chitose, Fukuoka and Naha as domestic routes. Many major airports are convenient for business trips and travel use.

I do not know what will happen in the future, but for now Jetstar can board from Terminal 1.Other LCC airline like Peach  Aviation needs to go to the terminal2 by free shuttle bus, and it takes 15 minutes to 20 minutes needs extra time.
Depature from terminal 1 is of course it is beneficial to save the time and avoid trouble of moving.

Where is Jetstar 's check - in counter?

Jetstar's boarding procedure counter is located on the 2nd floor of the terminal1 Kansai Airport, next to the JAL counter.

When depositing Jetstar baggage from Kansai airport, it is necessary to complete procedure 30 minutes before departure time of the airplane to board. If you would like to drop your luggage, you should proceed with time to spare.

At Kansai airport,there is two departure gates for domestic departure.
South departure gate and north departure gate, and Jetstar's procedure counter is near south departure gate side. Also, an automatic check-in machine is also located Jetstar's check-in counter.

Baggage rules are severe in LCC. If you bring more baggage than you booked, you may be charged a high fee at boarding, so preparation and attention beforehand are necessary. Economy and business class, the number of items that can be brought in, size and weight are different.

· Economy class

Size:Bag with length of each side within 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm, or 1 carry bag of 114 cm × 60 cm × 11 cm + 1 handbag
Weight: Total weight is 7 kg or less


・Business　class

Size: two bag with each side length of 56 cm × 36 cm × 23 cm or ,two  carry bag of 114 cm × 60 cm × 11 cm + handbags
Weight: total weight is 14 kg or less

Checked baggage at the counter is an extra charge at Jetstar.Jetstar as well as other LCCs, it is better to pay checked baggage in advance.



Weighing and guidance are placed at the check-in counter.
In front of the check-in counter, there are samples of flammable chemicals and poisons that can be placed in the checked baggage or not taken on the plane. Japanese pesticides are highly effective and popular overseas, but those cannot be carried in the cabin, of course.

2023 Kansai Airport "Passing Exam Prayer Oversized Ema" Wishes for Successful Examination ANA Support for Students Passing Exams

 ANA's annual event: dedicating an ema (votive tablet) to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine to pray for success on behalf of students preparing to take the entrance examination. ANA has installed a large ema (votive picture tablet) at Kansai International Airport Terminal 1 as part of a project to support students preparing for entrance exams.
